Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By using the FareBite website, waitlist, or mobile app (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. FareBite is currently operated by its founder, pending formation of a registered company.

2. The Service

FareBite lets you photograph a recipe and turns it into a shopping list with an estimated price for each ingredient, scaled to the number of servings you choose.

3. Waitlist

Joining the waitlist reserves no guarantee of access, pricing, or launch date. We'll email you when the beta becomes available; you can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these Terms.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading it, you give FareBite a license to store, process, and display Your Content as needed to operate the Service — for example, to extract ingredients and generate your shopping list, or to display a recipe you've marked public to other users. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

6. Pricing estimates

Grocery prices shown in FareBite are estimates based on available regional data and may not reflect the actual price you pay at any specific store. Prices can change without notice, and FareBite does not guarantee their accuracy. Always check final prices at checkout.

7. Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription, billed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our subscription provider. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, in accordance with the billing platform's own terms.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; scrape or bulk-extract data; or submit fraudulent or automated signups through the waitlist form.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of pricing or recipe information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FareBite is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on price estimates.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law
